YT1s ("we," "us," "our") is a free, browser-based tool for converting and downloading YouTube videos. This policy explains what information we collect when you use the site, what we don't collect, and why.

No account required

YT1s doesn't require registration, login, or any personal details to use. We don't have a database of user accounts, and we don't ask for your name, email, or payment information anywhere on the site.

What we do collect

Like most websites, our servers automatically log basic technical information for security and troubleshooting purposes, such as your IP address, browser type, and the pages you request. This is standard server-log data and isn't tied to a personal profile.

When you search for a video or start a download, we temporarily store your search query or video ID in your browser's session storage (not a cookie) so it can be passed between pages. This data lives only in your browser, is cleared automatically when you close the tab, and is never saved on our servers.

Third-party services

The search and download results on this site are rendered through a third-party embed service that processes the video URL you submit in order to generate the download. We don't control what that service logs on its end; we recommend only submitting links to videos you have the right to download.

Files and downloads

Converted files are generated on request and are not stored on our servers after your download completes. We don't keep a history of what you've converted.

Children's privacy

YT1s is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone in that age group.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
